Pedals are some of the most important parts of your bike. If your feet arn't happy with them, you're going to find pedalling a chore. The general distinction in pedals is between platform pedals and clipless pedals. Platform pedals are flat, and usually both sides are the same. These can be fitted with clips and straps for extra security, or left bare for easy riding. We stock classic road, touring and track pedals, as well as wider BMX platforms. Clipless pedals have a sprung system that allows for a cleat that is attached to your shoes to click in to the pedals for an unparalleled connection with the pedal, allowing for pushing power through the entire rotation of the crank. Clipless pedals come either as road pedals, which are one sided and take a wide cleat to spread the pressure over long rides, or mountain bike pedals which are designed to be low profile and shed mud and dirt from the trails. Whatever riding you do most of will affect your choice of pedal, so think carefully before putting clipless pedals on your pub bike!
