Cannondale SuperSix 6 Tiagra

More Info

The Supersix has serious racing heritage, being the preferred choice of carbon for the pro-tour winning Liquigas-Cannondale. This Supersix 5 is the entry level model of the Supersix range, but retains all the features that make it an out-and-out race bike. The geometry is exactly the same as the bikes that Sagan and Viviani use for pro-tour duty, and the same tapered headtube and extremely burly bottom bracket mean that all your power is transfered through the frame. The only thing that differentiates this frame from the Hi-Mod frames is the type of carbon layup used. However, the SuperSix frame weighs a mere 1050 grams.

This exceptional frame is built up with Shimano Tiagra, an economical and reliable groupset. The shifting is just as precise and trouble free as the higher end group sets, with very little penalty to weight. The FSA Omega crankset with compact 50/34 rings provides an excellent range of gears with the 12-28 cassette, so the quality of the frame becomes apparent when climbing - pick the right gear and you'll fly up any incline. The Shimano R501 wheels are an excellent selection for this bike, providing decent, tough wheels at a good price.

The final parts are supplied by Cannondale, apart from the highly regarded Prologo Scratch saddle, which is a comfortable perch frequently seen in the pro-peloton. This is a completely ready to race bike, straight out of the shop.
