Helmets

Helmets are a contentious subject, but when it comes down to it, it's better to have something between you and the kerb than not. Helmets are designed to offer a compromise between safety and comfort, with high end race helmets being extremely well ventilated around a composite structure. We also stock Bern helmets, who do a range of BMX style lids that are well ventilated and extremely safe, whilst looking less sporty than the classic cycling lid. The most important thing to get right with a helmet is the fit. If it's too tight, or too big, it won't offer the protection you need in a crash. Most brands offer a sizing guide, but nothing beats trying them on.
