Your hands take a lot of punishment on a bike, be that from the vibrations from bad roads, being first to hit the wind or simply from the pressure of supporting your weight and gripping the bars. Cycling gloves offer lots of ways to keep your fingers comfortable while riding. Many offer gel cushions on the palm to spread the pressure and soak up the buzz. Full-finger gloves offer better protect than mitts from the cold, and can be wind and waterproof for the worst winter riding, where as many mitts are vented, minimal affairs for summer riding.
