3T was the company created in 1961 by Mario Dedioniggi, after a 10 year apprenticeship with Ambrosio. Originally called Tecnologia del Tubo Torinese (Turin Tube Technology), Dedioniggi quickly adopted to using aluminium alloys to keep weight down whilst maintaining strength. Over the life of the company, 3T have managed to remain innovative despite the stiff competition. 3T developed the now ubiquitous bullhorn bar, first used by Moser in his successful hour record attempt, and then named that specific style the '51.151' in recognition of his achievement. They also hold the honour of having the first ever bike stem to be recognized by an ID International Design award, the Mutant stem, in 1999. Whilst Dedioniggi has left the company, they continue to develop great products as used by professional cyclists like Zabriskie, Millar, Tyler Farrar and Anna Meares.
