Bont started out in 1975 as a ice skating company, innovative in it's use of fiberglass for stiffness and aerodynamics. Being one of the first commercial companies to use fiberglass in 1975, Kevlar in 1986 and Carbon in 1989 set the stage perfectly for Bont's triumphant emergence in to competitive cycling in 2007. Since then, Bont shoes have been seen on podiums in almost every major race in the world, including Bradley Wiggins' 2012 Tour de France win.
