At Tokyo Fixed we wanted to create something incredible with Mark, head builder from Enigma cycles. Our Everest 853 track bike is the end result. Built around the Edge track frame, we've specified the Reynolds 853 tubing and Richard Sachs Newvex lugs to highlight the quality of the frame, while taking inspiration from classic Everest and Tohei bikes. The subtle and understated colour scheme is designed to let the features do the talking.

The wait for an Edge track frame is usually months or years, but we're selling our 'Everest' track bike straight from the shop. This will be utterly unique for the new owner, constructed to the highest possible level. Custom built out of Reynolds 853, the frame is as light and stiff as modern aluminium, but with the understated look and classic comfort of steel. The air-cooled and heat treated 835 tubing allows Enigma to work with much thinner, double-butted tubes to reduce the weight, whilst the yield strength is still much higher than normal steel to ward against dents and scrapes. The hand-cut Newvex lugs and their delicate curls shows the undeniable quality of the welding, without being ostentatious. This is the perfect machine for someone who wants a competition level track bike or a subtle street bike that can perform at the top level. Mark at Enigma's experience really shows on this frame, having designed something that could win races or be admired purely for its aesthetic and build quality.
