Bespoked Bristol Bikes

Article-HeaderImage

We’re proud to exhibiting some of the most incredible steel bikes in the world at Bespoked Bristol this year. We honestly think the builders we represent are peerless, at the top of their game and masters of their craft. However, we realised that not everyone can take a weekend out to go down to Bristol, so we thought it only fair to share the bikes we were taking.

Tokyo Fixed’s Bespoked Bristol Bikes

Cherubim ULI

One of the most innovative and influential builders working today, Cherubim’s ULI is a perfect combination of the classic look and comfort of steel, with the performance advantages of carbon. This ULI is made with custom-drawn Kasei tubing and a custom-painting carbon fork. The headtube swells beautifully to accommodate the integrated headset, and the rest of the frame is finished with the signature Cherubim details, like the chromed seat-tube collar and unique bottle bosses.

Nagasawa Road

An extremely rare build from Nagasawa, this road frame mimics his tried and tested track bikes in it’s tubing and exquisite lugwork, but also includes unique custom dropouts and braze-ons. The frame itself is gorgeous, but this is only enhanced by the stunning paint. The gold and signature yellow lug lining is absolutely perfect, and the gold decals set of a subtle but captivating fade, a sparkle clear-coat over the gloss black that fades towards the rear of the frame. The incredible look of the frame is topped off by a custom suede Kashimax saddle with Nagasawa stitched on the rear.

Nitto Touring Frame & Accessories

Another rareity, this Nitto frame is a TIG-welded tourer that has subsequently been anodized black. The finish is a smokey gunmetal that glimmers in different lights. You can see in the quality of the welding and the simple construction that Nitto put as much thought in to their frames as they do in to their bars. We’re using this frame to show off some of the best Nitto accessories available, from the full touring racks down to the brake-hanger and bar-ends. It’s all hand-made in Nitto’s factory, and each piece is painstakingly and methodically build to be the perfect accompaniments to a frame like this.

Tonic Fabrication Crusher

The oversized tubing that has become something of a trade-mark for Tonic has fooled a few people who have seen this frame in to thinking it’s carbon; it isn’t. Aptly named the Crusher, this bike is built for the roughest terrain. The tapered headtube and ENVE fork with custom rack mounts are the most subtle details of a decidedly unsubtle bike, but the two real talking points are the paint job and the wishbone stay. Resting on a circular band of spring-steel, the wishbone stay compresses about 2cm to give a decent amount of suspension for rider comfort. The paint, however, speaks for itself. The luminous green is perfectly complimented by the blue logos and red touches.

Cherubim Disc Piuma

Another fascinating Cherubim, this has been built for a very lucky customer. The frame is based on a Piuma, but has a number of modifications to make it a perfect gravel track or path racer. The fork crown and brake bridge have been re-enforced and smoothed in to gorgeous curves and arches, while the fork and drop-outs have had chrome disc mounts added. The Hope disc-brakes provide incredible stopping power for a bike which comes out as just under 10kg complete.
