Chris King Headset Spacer Set

More Info

Spacers are an important link in properly setting up your headset. While used to adjust the height of your stem, they transfer important alignment from the bottom of your stem to the top of the headset. Lacking exactness, there will be little you can do to achieve and maintain proper adjustment. While spacers are simple in their design and duty, there is no more room for compromise here than in any other components.
Chris King precision headset spacers are made to the same exacting standards as their headsets. Each spacer is lathe-cut from high-grade aluminum bar stock in a single operation ensuring exactness of size, concentricity, and parallel surfaces. Many of the other headset spacers available in the market are saw-cut from a tube resulting in variances of these all-important tolerances. This is especially true with the now popular carbon fiber headset spacer. Fashionable? Yes. Precision? Questionable. In addition to sizing variances, carbon fiber has poor qualities in compression, which is what it is subject to during adjustment and from trail forces as the bicycle is ridden. Chris King believe that this is an impractical material for spacers to be made from, when their own 3mm spacer weighs just 2.5 grams.

- Spacers come in a pack of 4, one each of the following sizes: 3, 6, 12, & 25mm
- All spacers are 1 1/8", 1" and 1 1/4" are available for custom orders.

Brand Info

Chris King designed the first sealed bearing headset in 1976. Thirty-three years later, the King headset remains a benchmark for quality. No other bicycle component can claim the precision, performance and absolute reliability of a Chris King headset. They even produce their sealed bearings in-house.

Whilst their headsets are probably the most recognisable and most highly regarded headsets in existence, they also produce many other high quality products and accessories, all made to the same exacting standards of their headsets. Chris King is a name that should inspire confidence in any cyclist.
