The Cherubim ULI uses the same tried and true top tube, seat tube and down tube as the Cherubim Piuma. These tubes are designed by Cherubim and manufactured by the legendary tubing factory Kaisei. The selection of different tubing diameters gives Cherubim's their signature look as well as unmatched comfort and response.
The main difference between the ULI and the rest of Cherubim's bikes is the headtube. The headtube is machined from a single billet of steel to fit a integrated headset. The diameter of this headtube is also larger than what you see on most steel frames better suiting the carbon fork. Another feature of this frame is the shaped seat stays. The S Bent stays give the rear end a stiffer ride. Paired up with the sloping geometry the ULI is the ultimate race machine with a touch of class.
The frame shown above is 2.2kg including the fork, to give you an idea of the weight
- Built with Cherubim's signature braze ons

Cherubim frames are made by the great Shin-ichi Konno. Shinichi is from a family of frame builders with his father building Cherubims for over thirty years, and his uncle starting the famous 3 Rensho brand.
Cherubim is continuing the family tradition pushing the envelope for steel frames using custom built hardware such as specially bent tubes and incredibly light custom tubing from Japanese manufacturer Kasei. He has been honoured with the Best Track Bike award and Presidents Choice at the North American Hand Built Cycle Show in 2009 and 2010. In 2011, we took a Cherubim Piuma to Bespoked Bristol, where it won the Best Road Bike award.
The heart of Cherubim's works, however, is in track bikes. In previous years Cherubim have built for Olympic teams and champion keirin riders. Cherubim still offers custom NJS models as well as full custom track frames.
During Bespoked Bristol, we were fortunate enough to host Shin-Ichi Konno of Cherubim Cycles. We were extremely proud to exhibit some Cherubim bikes, including the show-stopping, NAHBS-winning Rambler. Having one of the most respected frame-builders in the world on your stall is excellent, not only for the show-goers but for ...
