PROJECT ONE AT KINOKO CYCLES
Commited to providing you with some of the most incredible custom bikes available, Kinoko Cycles has partnered with Trek to allow you to design and purchase Project One bikes in store. We have an area dedicated to Project One, including computers to use when designing your bike, colour and paint swatches and our own Project One frames on display.
Project One allows you to start with almost any carbon fiber Trek frame and design it completely yourself. This includes everything from the frame geometry to the colour of the cable housing. What ever you want your bike for, from long rides to fast crit racing, the almost infinite permutations that Project One offers can deliver exactly what you need. Project One also allows you to build the bike with a number of groupsets, wheels and finishing kits, meaning you can design a lightweight hillclimbing bike or a aerodynamic, electronic shifting race machine. The choice is entirely down to you.
WHAT IS INVOLVED
While you can muse and tinker with your bike on Trek's website, Project One bikes are not available to purchase online, and that is because designing and building the perfect bike is a collaborative effort between the rider, Trek and ourselves. Kinoko Cycles offers an array of services to help in designing your Trek, from simple advice about what components fit the frame to an entire bike fitting, from the shoes up. We would recommend at the very least having a fitting, to ensure that you select the right geometry and size for your riding style and goals.
When you have finalised exactly what you want, our team can liase with Trek and give you a final lead time and delivery estimate. The lead time is based on the availability of parts, the paintjob you have chosen and the wait at the Waterloo, Wisconsin. Each Trek paint job is hand finished and signed by the painter, so more complexity means a longer wait.
When your bike is ready, our workshop team will construct, adjust and finish your bike, ready for you to ride out of the store on your unique new Trek.
