Bicycle frame design has a long and absorbing history and we’re surely amongst its keenest students. Now more than ever there’s a rich heritage of examples all aroundus on the streets that’s there for everyone to appreciate and enjoy. But, whilst these days we see what we perceive to be an over-abundance of mass produced, generic looking bikes being hoisted into the shops to satisfy today’s new breed of cycling fans, we feel our own vision offers something much more distinctive and unique.
This is why our own range of in-house designed framesets is continually evolving and growing. Taking cues and inspiration from those famous and some not-so-famous frame-builders of the past, whose fanatical drive for quality and detail has brought us some of the most ground-breaking, innovative designs and stand-out ‘dream bikes’ of the past, we strive to build on our own reputation as designers to continue to deliver desirable bikes our customers love and are proud to ride.
Yet as our own knowledge and interest deepens through time, so do our aspirations to appeal to hardened enthusiasts across the whole cycling spectrum. So, as with our more established stable of classically inspired track-oriented frames, we want our new selection of steel road frames to completely exceed expectations going into the future.
We’ve been investing loads of energy into constantly improving on our designs and knowledge of materials to present racing bikes that we feel could rival the rest of the best.
We believe in steel. There, we said it. Whilst at the sharp end of competitive racing,materials such as carbon can indeed bring micro-gains to a professional rider perhaps looking to clip a few seconds off a race stage, it’s no secret that steel, especially with respect to the modern, lightweight range of steel tubing available today, continues to offer the durability, comfort, flexibility and affordability that very much appeals to us and to everyday riders across all disciplines.
